Our official journey began in 2022, but for our owner, Alana Edwards, the path to this business started long before. Alana has been working in weddings for over 15 years, and many of our talented artists have collaborated side by side for quite some time, so when The Beauty Paintersbecame an official company in 2022, it felt like the perfect culmination of years of experience and passion.
Alana’s roots in the beauty industry run deep. Growing up, she was always surrounded by it—her dad was a hairdresser, and her mom a model. From an early age, she found herself at hair shows, Aveda headquarters, and spending days at her dad’s salons. Alana initially wanted to pursue art school for painting, but her dad encouraged her to go to beauty school, where she discovered a new love—makeup. She dabbled in various makeup jobs, but it was when she started working on weddings that she truly fell in love with the art of making people feel beautiful on one of the most important days of their lives. Growing up with an entrepreneurial father, Alana felt destined to follow in his footsteps and create something of her own, which led to the founding of The Beauty Painters.

I loved my look for my wedding day. The makeup artist that I had previously booked ended up cancelling a couple of months before my wedding, and the Beauty Painters were able to quickly schedule my trial and book my wedding despite it being a holiday weekend. I worked primarily with Tori, and she was so great! My hair and makeup lasted all night. All of my family members that got hair and makeup felt like the look really suited them, and they were very happy with the results. From start to finish, my experience with the Beauty Painters was great. With myself, 8 bridesmaids and 3 moms, we had a big lift for these ladies to take on, and they crushed it. From the help creating a schedule for our girls and 4 artists, to the finished product, it was nothing but easy and fun. I hired the Beauty Painters to do the hair for myself and bridal party, as well as mom and SIL. In total there were seven of us, and we had Alicia who came and did our hair. She showed up promptly on time, and worked quickly to get everyone’s hair done in time. She was super friendly the entire day as well, and very easy to be around which helped sooth my nerves as the bride to be. Everyone’s hair also stayed up the entire night, and she was able to give everyone the style that they wanted! She also traveled to our venue which was awesome!

If you’re looking for a make up artists for your wedding, I highly recommend going with the beauty painters! I absolutely loved my make up trial and felt that Melissa understood the look I was going for. I do not wear a lot of make-up and wanted a more natural look for my big day. Melissa nailed it! The day of my wedding I wanted my eye lashes more full and Melissa ensured I was happy with my eye lashes before she left. Melissa was punctual, fun, and professional. I felt so beautiful the day of the wedding, and it’s all thanks to Melissa! The beauty painters prices are fair as well. Again I highly recommend going with the beauty painters for your wedding and wedding party.

It was find to find a company that had experience with different hair textures but they delivered. Melissa was professional, caring and quick. Each updo took 20-30 minutes. Highly recommend!!
